As much as I like Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP, there is one bug in it that I truly hate. I decided to post it here so to save you tons of time trying to figure out what is going on.
The bug is simple. When you have Flash Builder's Network Monitor Enabled, It will simply not stop at the breakpoints on the PHP side of your data classes.
To have FBPHP stop at the Breakpoints of your AMF classes you usually use the Debug as PHP application. It works great, except when your network monitor is enabled. If it stops working, just make sure that the Network Monitor is disabled.

Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP
So the reason I haven’t been posting new blog entries is this: SafeSmart http://safesmart.net I’ve been furiously working on this, and well it’s going to be great. Yeah, the site doesn’t say much right now, but it will shortly. You can subscribe to Twitter or become a Fan in Facebook to get updates and have a chance to have early access.
We had the luck to use the brand new Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP towards the later part of the development, this was a true blessing. In short Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP is a mash up between Flash Builder 4.5 and Zend Studio with a couple of new options. I did manage to run into some time and wrote an article for the PHP | Architect magazine about how it helped us in the development that you might want to check out. It’s in the April 2011 issue. http://www.phparch.com/magazine/2011-2/april/
If you want to build PHP backends for your Flex front ends, you really should try this tool. It will save you tons of time, and it seriously does simplify development for mobile devices. Check it out here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash-builder.html?promoid=FDLKS check out the column on the right.
I will write some more entries on how to get the most of it shortly, so stay in tune.
